Our carbonated cleaning solution only uses a fraction of the water that other methods like steam cleaning require, so our process is better for the environment. No, Chem-Dry is not a steam cleaner. Chem-Dry uses heat and carbonation to release dirt and grime from deep within your carpets, so we don’t need to use the gallons of water that typical steam cleaners use.
Are Chem-Dry products safe for my kids and pets?
All the ingredients in Chem-Dry’s primary cleaner, The Natural®, are on the FDA’s GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe) list, so they’re safe for your carpets, your home, and your family. The Natural® does not contain any synthetic soaps or harsh detergents.
Why do I need protectant on my carpets?
Most new carpets come with a factory-applied protectant, but this wears off over time. Re-applying a protectant onto your carpets can help them resist stains and soiling, so your carpets will stay cleaner for longer. Another reason that protectant is a wise investment is that it will slow the aging and wearing process, so it can extend the life of your carpets.
